Please visit Cape Cod this summer with your pooches. Provincetown
has just
opened up a wonderful dog park, Pilgrim Bark Park. Provincetown has a long
canine history dating back to 1620 when two dogs, an English Springer Spaniel
and an English Mastiff came over on the Mayflower ship. Provincetown is the
oldest continuous art colony in the United States.
The benches, entrance park
sign and supersized dog house at the entrance gates were all created by local
artists. Faux fire hydrants will be transformed into art this spring. We
recently had 50 local artists transform 50 8x8x10 knotty pine wooden dog houses
into art. The auction raised $12,000 for Pilgrim Bark Park. We have a call out
to local artists for grant opportunities to help continue to bring art to
Pilgrim Bark Park. Please visit our website for pictures and learn more at
